Doctrine
The Church of God
The word of our God has transcended the history of humanity, from generation to generation; now it is up to us not only to preserve it, but to live it.
The Church of God founded by our Lord Jesus Christ in the year 30, in Jerusalem, Palestine.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, she bears the name of God, not a man's name. "The pillar and foundation of the truth." 1 Timothy 3:15 and Acts 20:28
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
So that your faith may not rest on human wisdom, but on the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:5
Basis
"Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone"
Ephesians 2:20
"But you, speak what is in accord with sound doctrine."
Titus 2:1
The Church of God, which bears the Father's name, is the one Christ founded (Matthew 16:18) in the year 30, and which has now been organized in our country and throughout the world, preserving the same doctrine that identifies its people. Its name appears 11 times in the Bible: 1 Corinthians 1:2, 10:32, 11:16, 22, 15:9; 2 Corinthians 1:1; Galatians 1:13; 1 Thessalonians 2:14; 2 Thessalonians 1:4; 1 Timothy 3:5 . The eleventh instance of this phrase is found in Acts 20:28, according to the oldest manuscripts.
In our country, the Church of God formally began in 1920 in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila, as a result of the missionary work carried out by Hispanic brothers and sisters from the United States at the end of the first decade of the 20th century. This mission was formalized by Minister Andrew N. Dugger on Maravilla Street in Saltillo in 1921. During 1925, the outstanding work of Minister Baltazar Laureano Ramírez allowed him to influence the relocation of the Church of God's headquarters to Mexico City in 1926, due to the growth of God's work in the country. From that time to the present day, our organization has grown to include more than 300 churches throughout Mexico.
